SOUTH SOUTH RETAINS PRESIDENCY TILL 2019

Wether na People Deceiving People (PDP) or Another Problem Coming(APC). Let the greedy Northern oligarchs like #Atiku #Buhari #Babangida and that pedophile take note.
Foreign observers have noted these trends in Nigerian#politics.
1. PDP internal squabbles are centred on Jonathan running in 2015 for a second term. Jonathan is from the South south geo-political zone. The south south produces the crude oil that is sold on global markets and the proceeds used to pay for the armed forces, the federal civil service, state and local governments.
2. There is an unwritten agreement among Nigerian political elites that the presidency will be rotated among the six geo-political zones every two terms.
3. The rebellion by Atiku and the renegade governors could lead to instability in 2015 as election violence soars and the army is called in.
4. The treasury is depleted as Jonathan loyalists use state funds to pay off rivals.
We conclude that nobody has the interests of Nigeria at heart. The walk out was just for money. $$$ stuffed in Ghana Must Go bags are what Atiku and his cohorts want.Image

The Law wrote
Today, at the NBA Secretariat Ikeja Lagos, Femi Falana (SAN) and the entire membership of one of Africa’s largest local bar decried the continuing harassment of indigent and poor citizens by the LAGOS STATE government in various guises designed only to raise more money or to “save” money for the current wielders of political powers in the State.
Specifically, the State government was condemned for:
1. using the apparatus of its uniformed outfit – notably members of its Kick Against Indiscipline, KAI, squad – to take hostage poor Lagosians under the guise of enforcing so-called state “laws” against “street trading”, “highway crossing”, loitering, begging and playing football on deserted streets during the monthly “environmental sanitation exercise”: dubious so-called infractions against so-called laws which do not, according to Femi Falana, “belong in a civilised society”, not to talk about a constitutional democracy.
2. Incarcerating or illegal detention of citizens in illegal detention facilities and vehicles (black maria) established within Lagos State Secretariat;
3. Operating kangaroo tribunals sanctioned by the Chief Magistrate of Lagos State and manned by lawyers as “judges” and”prosecutors” who preside over proceedings which does not protect an “accused’s” basic constitutional right to fair hearing especially the right to representation by counsel or to take a “not guilty” plea. Tribunals that brazenly inform “accused” persons with very strategically placed banners that defence “lawyers” are not “necessary” for its proceedings. In those tribunals, appearance is a formal statement of guilt which in most cases covers several “criminal” counts each of which attracts financial penalties of N10,000 or more and imprisonment (at least, until payment).
4. For incarcerating hapless and indigent citizens of Nigeria in Kirikiri Maximum Prison and Badagri Prisons for pending to pay up their imposed fines.
NBA Lagos and its member resolved to set up a high powered committee to document specific instances of the abuses so as to know the best way to address what is clearly an unacceptable and disgracefully course of dealing by a court led by a Senior Avocate of Nigeria, Babatunde Fashola, SAN.
Law Nigeria hereby:
1. expresses its outrage at the scandalous past-time of mowing down defenceless citizens by Lagos State in the name of “security” “urban renewal” and “development”. It is unacceptable that “roundabouts”, grasses and ornamental flowers seem to receive better treatments in Lagos State than poor and indigent persons.
2. calls on Lagos State government to review the operations of its uniformed and other tax-payers funded operatives so as to bring their operations under the constitutional imperative of making the welfare and security of the People (instead of their brazen operation) the primary purpose of government. It could not and must not be the case that those outfits – majority of which were initially populated by fringe or indigent members of Lagos (especially the notorious agberos) – were strategic enlistment by the State governments of a tiny percentage of the poor to be used as tools to oppress the majority of their fellow poor. That is the kind of evil that destroys any place.
3. Calls on the Chief Magistrate of Lagos to disavow and dismantle the illegal tribunals and detention centers which are being maintained under the otherwise hallowed authority of the judicial authority which is supposed to be the bulwark of the very poor it is now being used to oppress. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH; and
4. calls on all the NBA Branches in Lagos State – Lagos, Ikeja, Ikorodu and Badagry – to rise up, condemn these evil practises going on Lagos State and take the active step of picketing all those so-called tribunals and detention centers. The Bar must also rise up and demand the release of poor Nigerians rotting away in maximum prisons – possibly for life – since they are unable to pay the fines imposed upon them by agents of Lagos State government.
5. calls on Lagosians to rise up and defend the poor and powerless among us from the tyranny of State machinery which derides the existence of the poor and the God who made them. This city has a soul – even if this government has lost its own. It is time to remind this government of that./Image

WHY MORSI WAS OVERTHROWN

#MORSI

‘Soldiers cannot be President because dem be like robbery. If armed robber come meet you for house. Zombie’ Fela Kuti in ‘Music Against Second Slavery’

‘Democracy na craze demonstration’ Fela Kuti in ‘Teacher Dont Teach Me Nonsense’

In the Kalakuta Spirit world GENERAL  means Spirit of Ra. Ra is the Egyptian Sun God.

Craze World.

MORSI CALLED FOR HOLY WAR IN SYRIA.

Army concern about the way President Mohamed Morsi was governing Egypt reached a tipping point when the head of state attended a rally packed with hardline fellow Islamists calling for holy war in Syria, military sources said.

At the June 15 rally, Sunni Muslim clerics used the word “infidels” to denounce both the Shi’ites fighting to protect Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and the non-Islamists that oppose Morsi at home.

Morsi himself called for foreign intervention in Syria against Assad, leading to a veiled rebuke from the army, which issued an apparently bland but sharp-edged statement the next day stressing that its only role was guarding Egypt’s borders.

“The armed forces were very alarmed by the Syrian conference at a time the state was going through a major political crisis,” said one officer, whose comments reflected remarks made privately by other army staff. He was speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not permitted to talk to the media.

The controversy surrounding the Syria conference pointed to a crippling flaw in the Morsi presidency: Though the constitution names Morsi as supreme commander of the armed forces, the military remains master of its own destiny and a rival source of authority to the country’s first freely elected head of state.

The army’s dramatic ultimatum demanding Morsi and other politicians settle their differences by Wednesday afternoon caught the presidency completely off guard. Triggered by mass protests against Morsi’s rule, it amounted to a soft coup by a military that has been a major recipient of U.S. aid since the 1970s, when Egypt made peace with neighboring Israel.

The army has cited the need to avoid bloodshed as its main motivation. It also is worried by other major problems facing Egypt, including an economic crisis that has wiped out more than one-tenth of the value of the currency this year, making it harder for the state to import fuel and food.

Speaking on the eve of the protests, the president had dismissed the idea that the army would take control again.

If Morsi was aware of irritation in the army, he chose to ignore it, believing his mandate as Egypt’s democratically elected leader gave him license to make policy the way elected leaders do elsewhere in the world.

For the army, the Syria rally had crossed “a national security red line” by encouraging Egyptians to fight abroad, risking creating a new generation of jihadists, said Yasser El-Shimy, analyst with the International Crisis Group.

At the heart of the military’s concern is the history of militant Islam in Egypt, homeland of al-Qaida leader Ayman al-Zawahri. The military source condemned recent remarks made by “retired terrorists” allied to Morsi, who has deepened his ties with the once-armed group al-Gamaa al-Islamiya.

Speaking privately, officers in the secular-leaning military have said Egyptians did not want a religious state. Though the Brotherhood never said it wanted to set up a theocracy, such concerns reflect the army’s long-standing suspicion toward a movement banned by army rulers in 1954.Image

“Nigerian Youths wake up, We have no other country except Nigeria, We have been suffering in silence while our Leaders put our future in their bank accounts. How can we remain like this? How can a youth go to school and suffered to graduate at the end no job. You are almost 40 and still your future is as bleak as a dark room. Did your parents send you to school to sit at home because our Government have failed us. Let us come out one day and say No. We must not remain like this, we cannot all travel abroad to find a better life, our better life is here in our country. We have the money, oil and resources but only a selected few have continue to suck it dry why we keep believing God for a change, wake up now I challenge you. We need 500,000 youths in each of the 36 states to challenge the Government. We say NO, we will destroy this country and rebuild it afresh, we will Kill those who stand on our way as they are considered the enemy. Get Ready I tell you. The time has come for us to react, the only way our Government listens is violence, they have shown it to the Niger delta militants and now they are planning to show it to the boko haram..whereas a simple gesture of N20,000 per month to the unemployed is rejected and you pay militants N75,000 per month. How much do they pay as minimum wage? How much do they pay to elected officers, we are going to revolt. Nigeria will burn to be rebuilt again like Libya, Iraq, Egypt and Turnisia…please spread this message unless you want to die in poverty in a country where God has destined all of us to be happy and prosperous…!!!”

BUHARIMANIA

Many Nigerians are suffering from Buharimania.

They have forgotten that under Buhari’s stewardship as Oil Minister in 1978. $2.8 billion dollars was stolen in his ministry.

He joined the Nigerian Army in 1962, Buhari first came to widespread public attention in 1976 when he became the Minister (or “Federal Commissioner”) for Petroleum and Natural Resources under then Head of State General Olusegun Obasanjo. Before then he served as Governor of the newly created North-Eastern State during the regime of General Murtala Mohammed. He later became head of the newly created Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in 1977.

He organised a coup in 1983 to overthrow the corrupt government of Alhaji Shehu Shagari. Many corrupt politicians were sent to jail. No assets were recovered and nobody was brought to trial because of vested interests.

You want to talk about the Petroleum Trust Fund? Please do not even dare ask how much was stolen when he was the chairman.

He wants to be President of Nigeria in 2015 on an anti-corruption platform. When we know he has no credentials for fighting corruption. He cannot even manage his cattle ranch. But he wantsImage to manage the Federation for the second time. He has never one day explained what happened to our $2.8 billion dollars oil money.

One day go be one day sha.
